                    Большое спасибо. Посмотрел, инфо неплохая, только, к примеру, когда я ввёл в поисковик "Van Rossems" (Troost). Тот табачок, о котором я в своё время спрашивал на конфе (см. Поиск табака в Москве) и информацию о котором недавно опубликовали в одном из топиков,сей поисковик ответствовал УНЫЛО: Sorry, no records matching the search criteria were found.
Так что к вашему топику я бы добавил после слова ЗАКАЗЫВАЙТЕ........то, что они предлагают, а нет, так горбатьтесь сами по миру. Увы, у них далеко не всё, что хотелось бы пробовать и курить дотошному московскому трубокуру. Так что я ни них :z

Ну, речь по-моему шла о "чистых" табаках...

Теперь мой вопрос - 2oz - это сколько, много или нет, и дорого ли 4$  за эти 2 oz?
И каким образом можно делать свои смеси в домашних условиях, т.е. есть ли какие-нибудь нюансы? А как можно сделать ароматизированные смеси?                    

                    1 oz это либо 28,35 грамма либо 31,106 грамма, смотря какую унцию они имеют ввиду

Only very few pipe smokers have ever made acquaintance with plain, pure natural tobacco - except for those who prefer to smoke so-called English Mixtures or Flake tobaccos. The predominant number of pipe tobacco mixtures available are, in fact, blended with more or less flavouring agents and aroma extracts. And as most pipe smokers here in Germany do prefer these blends for theit daily pleasure, they are r(e)presented correspondingly in our catalogue assortment. Still, we have through the past decades and somehow against the general trends, always reserved properly wide space for pipe tobaccos without flavourings. Some examples are Nos. 1 - 4, 6, 7, and 11 of the TORBEN DANSK range, our Virginia flake "Veermaster", our "Gordon Pym" (one of the best selling smooth Latakia blends since almost 20 years) and, not to forget, BILL BAILEY's "Best" and "Balkan" blends. Beyond that, a range of plain natural blending tobaccos is a firmly established part of our tobacco assortment since more than 20 years, and since we have started our own DTM tobacco factory we were able to buy in and offer an even larger number of tobacco specialties of high quality standard, many of
them also suitable to be smoked pure on their own. Our choice is presented in our DAN PIPE catalogue on page 64.

Have you ever thought of creating and composing your very own pipe tobacco blend? You will find that blending your own tobacco will open up a new world of taste and flavours to you, and you will find it is fun to experience this most direct contact with all the varieties of basic tobacco. Last, but not least, those blending tobaccos can very well be used to level down stronger blends or, just the opposite, to add the missing spice and depth to some flat or insipid mixtures.

Following, we have listed for you a number of approved blending recipes to help you take your first steps and to give you some ideas of possible compositions. Once you have made some experience of your own you will certainly find a lot of pleasure and satisfaction in creating new interesting blends - your "Private Reserve".

How to proceed: All you need is a clean large glass, plastic or stainless steel bowl of 12 to 15 " (30 - 40 cm)
diameter and 5 - 8 " (12 - 20 cm) height (large enough to avoid spilling too much tobacco all around) for the blending and a suitably large airtight container to store the tobacco mixture. To weigh out the single components you can use letter scales for smaller quantities or kitchen scales for larger quantities. Rub out the tobacco over the bowl one by one and then blend all components thoroughly and gently until the tobacco
scraps and fibres can easily trickle through your splayed fingers. Then fill the blend into the storing container without pressing too hard, and firmly close the lid. By the way - appropriate and also cheap containers of clear polystyrene are shown on page 135 in our DAN PIPE 2002 catalogue. Your tobacco blend should then rest for at least several days to let it mature and to thoroughly blend the single components' flavours. If you want you can, of course try the result of your composition earlier, and you will realize that, as time passes, the taste will gradually change and improve from the first test smoke to the next. If you store larger quantities make sure to keep the jars cool and away from sunlight. We highly recommend not to start your first blending trials with too large quantities. You will receive representative results already from a blend calculated to a final amount of 100g, and you avoid ending up disappointed with loads of tobacco far from the taste you were hoping to create and only just right for the trash.

                    Упс.. прошу прощения. Все это можно заказать в ДТМ. 50 грамм латакии что-то около 7 с половиной евров.
Еще надо добавить, что ранние Торбен дански (маленькие номера) - это чистые базовые табаки в  банках, специально выпускаемые для блендинга.
Еще сорри, что перевода не дал... Сейчас не могу :-/

Торможу я. gven! Ежли Вы сей табак не пробовали, а есть желание - вполне могу отсыпать - ноу проблем.  :beer
                    

                    Только перед слишком резким торможением (чтобы не повредиться невзначай), невредно просмотреть указанный топик. Там ясно написано, что кисет этого табака мне привозили на пробу НЕСКОЛЬКО лет назад (точно не помню, но, кажется, это был 96 год). Я и пытаюсь его сейчас разыскать, но не методом "протянутой руки", то бишь отсыпок, а цивилизованно - регулярной покупкой по мере желания, как впрочем и многие другие табачки, "Принц Альберт" к примеру или некоторые сорта Данхила.  Но увы, Россия меня не радует желанным. А нагружать выезжающих "нетрубокуров" хождениями и поисками нужных сортов табачков возможности сейчас не имею. Поэтому кроме покупок в родном городе остаётся только Инет, который увы, тоже не всегда радует. Большущее вам спасибо за желание поделиться парой щепоток сего табачка, но это не решает для меня проблем постоянного имения этого табака в "рабочем курительном ассортименте" по мере необходимости.
А самому "замешивать" табачные смеси мне даже и в голову никогда не придёт. Я слишком дилетант для этого. Блендеры в табачных фирмах - высококласные профи и лучше их мне всё равно не смешать, не хватит ни знаний сортов табака, ни любых других профессиональных знаний. Так что, пусть каждый занимается своим делом, верно сказано у дедушки Крылова: "Беда, коль сапоги начнёт тачать пирожник, а пироги печить - сапожник"  Они пусть смешивают, а я стану употреблять готовое, главное, чтобы продавали это самое готовое без проблем.
